Nike: Is talent all it takes?

Why are black people displayed as near demi-gods in sports advertising. I don't hate the portrayal, I just wish it could be a bit more even handed. The grittiness of this ad campaign is very engrossing and makes you wanna watch it. I wonder why we never see this "talent" displayed for intellectual pursuits?
