I love parts of the first one. I love every visual thing about the second. Not a criticism, just an observation that could be off...there is a whole lot of work and the construction of an image that I get and respect a lot, but I don't *feel* it. I wonder about the authenticity, where is it...something feels strategic and scripted. Now it could be that that's the deal...perhaps the intention is to portray an image, not to provide a sense of the soul of the artist, which in itself I guess could be art, right or empowering on some level... or maybe it's a protective measure since the public can be so cruel. Like I said though, I could be off.
B lost me when I could not relate to her anymore. I stop listing to her music and paying attention to her a few years ago. She does not seem as "real" anymore.
