Danielle Scruggs was born in Chicago in the 1980s and currently lives and works in the Washington, D.C. metro area. 

Her work has been exhibited in Baltimore, MD and Brooklyn, NY and has been published by The Washington Post, Stop Smiling magazine, F-Stop magazine, Preservation Chicago, and Literago. She is also the Visual Arts editor of the Liberator Magazine.
