NAACP Launches History Interactive Timeline

The NAACP runs headlong into the twenty first century with an interactive look at the last one hundred years. Although many have complained the organization has lost it's way of late, no one can diminish its avant garde role in the struggle of Black Americans and America itself.

The site breaks down the last 100 years of African American History into 10 milestones and includes background information, bios, photos, videos and links for teacher lesson plans and additional student educational resources. It includes great specially produced videos with celebrities such as Laurence Fishburne, Tracee Ellis Ross, Dennis Haysbert, Nia Long, Nate Parker, Tatyana Ali, Tichina Arnold, P. Miller and Chandra Wilson. AND, it is the only site where you can find timeless documents, photos and videos like the full MLK, Jr "I Have a Dream Speech", and President Barack Obama's Inaugural Address in one place.

NAACPHistory.org which was created in conjunction with Verizon will become the one stop research resource for millions of high school and college students around the world for years to come. https://sites.google.com/site/mayuradocs/PinIt.png
