Benihana: The Big Jump

IS this wrong, is it offensive? It's a little "18 -- 34 year old certain demographic" funny, but it is right? Does it step on a few toes in the process of making a few laugh? Is that so bad?

Um, its hella wrong that American and mainstream audiences only see Asian folks thru Chinese or Japanese food/martial arts-but im not mad at them for trying to promote their business in a creative way. Peep this film fest-it steps out of the norm:

I really appreciate you going here! I think they went for the easy connection/chuckle in this, of course. It boggles the mind why people who create these things cannot see "others" occupying the same sexy, funny, interesting, etc. roles that they plop themselves in so readily. (I'm assuming things about the people who created this piece that may actually be not true, in which case I'd wonder why people embrace foolishness about themselves.) I don't think it's about being pc either, I think it's really getting beyond a playground level ability to think about people and what they represent in their skin.
