I still ...Agree with some of what Anonymous said.

I still think its good that these high school kids are presented with these options to learn about. Who teaches them about advertising? they are only consumers, never finding out bout the jobs behind the scenes.

Though I enjoy the show Mad Men, it is a constant reminder of the "good ol days" when our voices, expertise, presence, and style were completely ignored.Stanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00430266701539456878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6909957245407067880.post-22285516148589403452010-10-25T13:26:57.184-04:002010-10-25T13:26:57.184-04:00Anon, well said.Anon, well said.Craighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06008854814280963268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6909957245407067880.post-70943079659225999352010-10-25T12:20:44.750-04:002010-10-25T12:20:44.750-04:00Has anybody created a successful program that foc...Has anybody created a successful program that focused on diversifying the mid to senior level ranks of their own damn agencies? -->no

Youth initiatives are cool, but it does nothing to change the status quo in 2010. We have too many programs(MGPROJECT,ADCOLOR,ONCLUB,TORCH,) that focus on that. There are no programs that are focused on actual employment or diversifying the meeting/board room. This is total BS, sort of like hush money.

If these agencies really wanted to change the way things were they would have portfolio reviews, job fairs etc. You can educate but you wont hire, its a nasty trick, too many times our "diversity leaders" dont ask questions but instead take the money and keep their mouths closed as to the real problem. Donating money to programs that wont lead to employment is meaningless and wastes everyone time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6909957245407067880.post-71672585503469925832010-10-25T10:14:38.337-04:002010-10-25T10:14:38.337-04:00that's pretty awesome...especially with so man...that's pretty awesome...especially with so many wanting to attend college in this economy, but don't have the financial means to...Private school higher education is no joke $$ wise. and Yay!!
